But my kingdom will always last,

Please do explain to non-steadfast.

For Muhammad S.A.W.S. is the light,

Which is always close to my sight.

For he (S.A.W.S.) shows light , is the Guide.

I,The Present ,My love for him (S.A.W.S.) wide.

He (S.A.W.S.), when the doom will crack,

Will ask for liberation of human folk.

No doubt , I do love him the most,

So will I bestow him the most.

Whosoever does a good deed.

413. Abu Dharr (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, "Allah, the Almighty, says: `Whosoever does a good deed, will have (reward) ten times like it and I add more; and whosoever does an evil, will have the punishment like it or I will forgive (him); and whosoever approaches Me by one span, I will approach him by one cubit; and whosoever approaches Me by one cubit, I approach him by one fathom, and whosoever comes to Me walking, I go to him running; and whosoever meets Me with an earth-load of sins without associating anything with Me, I meet him with forgiveness like that".
[Muslim]
Commentary: This Hadith mentions the infinite Compassion and Mercy of Allah to His obedient slaves and a special expression of which will be made by Him on the Day of Resurrection. On that Day, He will give at least ten times reward for each good deed. In some cases it may be far more than that, seven hundred times or more, as He would like. Such benevolence on His part warrants that a Muslim should never lose hope of His forgiveness.

Dua with Allah Names.

1872. Ibn `Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) said: We counted Messenger's saying a hundred times during one single sitting: Rabb-ighfir li, wa tubb `alayya, innaka Antat-Tawwabur-Rahim. (My Rubb! Forgive me and pardon me. Indeed, You are the Oft-Returning with compassion and Ever Merciful.''
[Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi].
Commentary: This Hadith tells us about the etiquette of praying to Allah. We should use the Names of Allah befitting our prayers, i.e., the Names of Allah signifying those Attributes of Allah which have a special concern with the subject of our particular prayer, i.e., while seeking forgiveness, His Names concerning His Attributes of forgiveness and kindness should be used. On the other hand, while praying for worldly matters, we should mention His Qualities of charity and bestowing gifts etc.

Which Women are being referred to ?

Addressing Salamah (radi Allahu anha), the nurse of his son Ibraheem, the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, "Does it not please any one of you that if she conceives by her husband and he is satisfied with her, that she receives the reward of fasting and vigil (remaining alert as a Mujahid protecting the borders of the Islamic state or Muslim army) for Allah's sake. And none of the dwellers of Heaven or Earth know about the coolness of eyes (a unique repose) she will receive for the labor pains she suffered. When she delivers, not a mouthful of milk flows from her and not an instance does the child suck, but that she receives for every suck and mouthful, the reward of a good deed. If she is kept awake by her child during the night, she receives the reward of freeing seventy slaves for the sake of Allah." The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) then said: "O Salamah do you know which women are being referred to? Those who, despite being pious and enjoying a respectable position, obey their husbands and do not belittle them." [Tabarani]
Commentary: This hadith can be hugely comforting to millions of women for the troubles that they go through anyway in child bearing and child rearing. These activities are not a curse that women carry for somebody else's mistake. In fact, they are a source of enormous reward for them. It is hard to think of any activity that a woman can do which will surpass these in hasanaat (reward). The highest reward is that of a Mujahid, and she is compensated at least at this rate every moment from the point of conception till the time that she stops nursing her child. Nobody can compensate as beautifully as Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) does!
It is important for women to keep in mind though, that they need to honor their husbands to receive the full reward, even if they should be of a higher social standing or more pious than their husbands. Respect of the husband is indicative of the piety of the wife.

Hadith

1482. Ziyad bin `Ilaqah reported: My uncle Qutbah bin Malik (May Allah be pleased with him) said that the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) used to supplicate: "Allahumma inni a`udhu bika min munkaratil-akhlaqi, wal-a`mali, wal-ahwa`i (O Allah! I seek refuge in You from undesirable manners, deeds, and aspirations).''

[At-Tirmidhi].

Commentary: The prayer is recited to seek Allah's Help in shunning bad manners and observing good manners and righteous deeds.

“Fear Allah regarding Women”

Jabir (radi Allahu anhu) narrates that the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) also gave these instructions in his sermon during the Farewell Pilgrimage. "Fear Allah regarding women; for you have taken them (in marriage) with the trust of Allah." [Mishkat]

Commentary: This warning establishes the sanctity and inviolability of women's rights. In this teaching, men have been cautioned that although they are the guardians of women, they should not exercise this responsibility without concern and fear of accountability before Allah (subhana wa ta’ala). They should be mindful that Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) is a witness between them and their wives, and it is through His commandment and permission that women have been made lawful for them through marriage. Women are therefore in Allah's protection. If husbands are cruel or unjust, they are guilty of breaching their trust with Allah. How great an honor this is for women and how stern is the warning for their guardian husbands that they should remember that women are in Allah's protection. (Ma 'Arif al-Hadith)

The wife is therefore entrusted to the man on a sacred pledge to which Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) is a party. Islam teaches that in this union the function of the woman is not only to gratify physical desires: On the contrary, she is viewed as the most qualified partner of man in shaping the character of family and society, for the realization of the ultimate aims of human existence

The Strong Man.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “The strong man is not the one who wrestles others; rather, the strong man is the one who controls himself at times of anger.” [The Book of Al-Birr: Sahih Muslim]

Commentary: That is why we see that people with weak characters suppress their anger when dealing with their superiors but take it out on those weaker than them. A weak man will take his frustrations out on his family, a woman on her children, the rich on the poor. Giving free rein to one’s anger results only in crime against Allah’s creatures. It is natural to feel anger in certain situations but the successful person is he who is able to control the expression of his anger. Not all crimes in Islam are recognized as crimes in secular law, but what matters to a Muslim is how their action is viewed by Allah. Anger is justified when the crime is against Allah and his Messenger, but even then it is best handled with a cool mind.

Hazrat Ali (radi Allahu anhu) said: “A moment of patience in a moment of anger prevents a thousand moments of regret.”

"Only those who are patient shall receive their reward in full, without reckoning.'' (39:10)

"Seek help in patience and As-Salat (the prayer). Truly, Allah is with As-Sabirun (the patient).'' (2:153)

"And surely, We shall try you till We test those who strive hard (for the Cause of Allah) and As-Sabirun (the patient)'' (47:31)

The rights of Parents.

Abu Umama (radi Allahu anhu) narrates that a man inquired from the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam): “O Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam)! What are the rights of parents over their offspring?” The Prophet replied: “Your entry into Paradise or Hell depends on your good or bad conduct towards your parents.” [Ibn Majah]

Commentary: In other words, if you treat them well the gates of Paradise will be opened for you and you will be admitted therein, but if you violate the rights that your parents have over you, the gates of Hell will be opened for you and you will be consigned to serve as fuel for it.

The following is the advice that Abdullah bin Umar gave to Abdullah ibn Abbas (radi Allahu anhuma) regarding how he should treat his parents:

“If you talk to them in a polite manner and look after their needs and feed them well, you will certainly be admitted to Paradise provided you abstain from major sins.” [Al-Adab-ul Mufrad]

Abu Hurairah (radi Allahu anhu) once saw two men. He asked one of them, “What is your relationship with the other man?” The man replied, “He is my father.” Abu Hurairah (radi Allahu anhu) thereupon advised him, “Look, never call him by his name, walk ahead of him, nor sit before he takes his seat.” [Al-Adab-ul Mufrad]

In other words, it is not just their material needs of food, clothing, shelter, and medicine that we need to be mindful of but we also need to show them respect and consideration in every act. We should address them with titles of respect, and make sure that they are comfortable before we make ourselves comfortable.

The most important right of parents over their children is their right to eman. Should the child be blessed with faith and find it lacking in the parents, they need to try with utmost love, gentleness and concern to explain and try to instill the love of Allah and His Messenger in them. Didn’t they try their best to save us from all sorts of hazards and dangers while we were growing up? Who tried to save us from putting our fingers in electric sockets? Who taught us to be careful with fire? Who taught us to beware of strangers? Who tried to protect us from falling or getting cut or getting burned? Is it not then their right that we try to protect them from the Fire of Hell?

An onlooker should be able to tell by the deference shown, the outward behavior and demeanor, who the parent is and who the child is. It is nothing but Godlessness in the society, whether it be of Muslims or non-Muslims, when children are observed talking to parents with gritted teeth and high handedness.

Who is A Wise Man.

66. Shaddad bin Aus (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, "A wise man is the one who calls himself to account (and refrains from doing evil deeds) and does noble deeds to benefit him after death; and the foolish person is the one who subdues himself to his temptations and desires and seeks from Allah the fulfillment of his vain desires".
[At-Tirmidhi].
Commentary: This Hadith highlights the importance of the accountability of one's self. Mere desires which are not coupled with practical efforts are of no avail because Allah grants reward on good deeds and not on yearnings and desires which are not supported by noble actions.

The most intelligent Person.

Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, "The most intelligent person is the one who remembers death often."

Commentary: If a person is thought to be very intelligent, yet fails exam after exam, soon all those around him/her will begin to think that he/she is not really very intelligent after all. To get through life with your faith intact, with good deeds, and with Allah’s pleasure as your greatest goal, is the biggest exam you will ever face.

If you fail the exam of life you cannot call yourself intelligent, regardless of what else your “intelligence” allowed you to accumulate of education, wealth, fame or pleasure. These will all go to waste with your death, while you will still have to stand before your Lord and face the consequences for eternity.

Your intelligence would have failed you if it didn’t give you the sense to properly attempt the biggest exam of your life. Such intelligence is cursed! In an examination hall if you start watching a movie, or discussing the score of a game, or pull out a lavish meal to eat, would you be considered sensible? No matter what your I.Q., you’d be considered mad.

This life is one big exam. Are you busy answering the questions of what to believe and what to do or are you busy entertaining yourself? The time for enjoyment is later. Those who prepare and do well in the exam of life will be considered the intelligent ones for eternity.

The people in Hell will say about themselves, "Had we but listened or used our intelligence, we should not (now) be among the Companions of the Blazing Fire!" [Al-Quran 67:10]

We are so engrossed in our various pursuits that the reality of death does not occur to us. Constant remembrance of death would keep us from getting easily distracted by the glittery entertainment beckoning from all directions, preventing us from seriously attempting the exam of life. Keeping death in mind would help us abstain from sin and motivate us to do good deeds without delay.

The most intelligent person is the one who gives the exam of life his/her full attention, since there are no re-takes.

What servant is Laid in his grave.

The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “When a servant is laid in his grave and his friends have turned from him and he hears the footfalls of their sandals, two angels come to him, sit him upright, and ask him, ‘What do you say of this man Muhammad (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam)?’ The believer will answer, ‘I testify that he is the slave of Allah and His Messenger,’ and it will be said, ‘Look at your place in the Fire, Allah has changed it for a place in the Garden (Jannah),’ and the man will behold both of them.” [Sahih Bukhari]

Commentary: Once a person’s grave is closed over him immediately two angels Munkar and Nakeer come to question the man about his beliefs; in particular who he worshiped, who he took as the Messenger of Allah and what his religion was. He who lived his life on Islam, in subservience to Allah his Creator, obeying Muhammad (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) as his Allah sent guide for life will be able to answer the angels correctly. The reward for such a person is Jannah – gardens of eternal bliss. He will be shown the place that he escaped in Jahannum and what his property in Paradise looks like. This is indeed a fortunate man.

So we need to love the noble Prophet Muhammad (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam), but before we can love him, we have to KNOW him. Do we really know him? About his life? About his teachings? Ask yourself if you really know about out Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) and if you really truly love him. If not, then we need to learn about him, and his teachings, so that when we are asking about him in the grave, we will answer correctly.

About best Sinners

Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “All human beings without exception are sinful, but the best sinners are those who repent the most.” [Tirmidhi]

Commentary: Whatever the magnitude of your sins, purify your soul by offering repentance and be hopeful of Allah’s Mercy. Despair is the characteristic of disbelievers. The integrals of seeking forgiveness are that you recognize the sin that you have committed and determine never to do so again. Thus, to be repentant dictates that you stay away from all such situations and events wherein it is likely that you will falter and commit the evil again.

“And who, when they have committed a shameful deed or have [otherwise] sinned against themselves, remember Allah and pray that their sins be forgiven - for who but Allah could forgive sins? - and do not knowingly persist in doing whatever [wrong] they may have done.” [Qur'an 3:135]

About Good Planning

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “There is no wisdom equal to good planning.” [Mishkat]

Commentary: Although Rasul Allah was Allah’s Messenger he planned. Angels came to assist him but after he had planned to the best of his ability with the best resources that he could muster. This is because he had to set a precedent for us.

Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) does not need us to carry out His plans, or to serve His Deen. The reason we work for Allah’s Deen is only to give Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) an excuse to put us in Jannah. So also for Allah’s pleasure we plan, in order to do our best possible, and thus to show our sincerity.

Suppose you invite 30 people over for dinner. But you don’t plan a menu, don’t do groceries according to the menu, don’t clean the house, don’t make any seating arrangements and don’t prepare any food. The doorbell rings and your first guest arrives. Will you be considered sincere in your invitation when your guests find out that you are not prepared to receive them and have no food to serve them?

Sincerity shows in planning, while the outcome is always in Allah’s Hands. While we plan extensively for our education, careers, and holidays, should we not also plan for getting to Jannah?

To have no plan is to have a plan for failure. What’s your plan?

Make a list of things that you should be doing/want to do, make a plan, and then set out to do them! Whether it's reading the Qur'an daily, Sunnah fasting, waking up for tahajjud, not using foul language, etc, make a plan to be better and get closer to Allah (subhana wa ta’ala).

About Unbeliever Parent.

Asma (radi Allahu anha) narrated: “In the sacred lifetime of the Holy Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam), my mother visited me on one occasion. She was a polytheist at that time. I submitted to the Holy Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam), ‘My mother has come to pay me a visit and she is an unbeliever in Islam. How should I treat her?’ The Holy Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) observed, ‘Yes, you should continue to show kindness to your mother.’” [Sahih Bukhari]

Commentary: The rights of parents on their children are immense in the sight of Allah (subhana wa ta’ala). Even non-Muslim parents have the right to be treated kindly by their Muslim children. It is only their demands of disobedience to Allah’s commands that must be repulsed. Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) says: “[Revere your parents;] yet should they endeavor to make you ascribe divinity, side by side with Me, to something which your mind cannot accept [as divine], obey them not; but [even then] bear them company in this world’s life with kindness, and follow the path of those who turn towards Me. In the end, unto Me you all must return; and thereupon I shall make you [truly] understand all that you were doing [in life].” [Qur'an 31:15]

First Ten Days of Dhul Hijj

1249. Ibn `Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, "There are no days during which the righteous action is so pleasing to Allah than these days (i.e., the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah).'' He was asked: "O Messenger of Allah, not even Jihad in the Cause of Allah?'' He (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) replied, "Not even Jihad in the Cause of Allah, except in case one goes forth with his life and his property and does not return with either of it.''

[Al-Bukhari].

Commentary: This Hadith brings out the following point: Righteous deeds during the first ten days of the month of Dhul-Hijjah are far better and more rewarding than righteous deeds done on other days of the year, because they are Hajj days in the sacred season of pilgrimage. Because of their excellence and importance, Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) swore by them, thus: "By the Dawn; by the ten Nights...'' (89:1,2)

It is narrated from Ibn Umar that the Prophet Muhammad (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

There aren't any days greater, nor any days in which deeds done in them are more beloved to Allah, the Most High, than these ten days (of Zul-Hijjah). So, increase in them the saying of Tahleel (La Ilaaha illa Allah), and Takbeer (Allah Akbar) and Tahmeed (al-Hamdu li-llah)" [Musnad Imaam Ahmad]

Say,Thank you to All People.

The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "He who does not thank people is unthankful to Allah." [Abu Dawud]

Commentary: Although Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) is the ultimate Bestower of all the good we receive, yet He commands us to thank the immediate source of the good too, the person or people through whom Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) sent the good to us. The people to whom we are most obliged during our lives, are our parents. Regarding them Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) says, "... show thanks to Me, and to your parents..." [Al-Quran 31:14]

One of the early Muslims said: "Ingratitude for a kindness is one of the enormities (major sins). Gratitude consists of reciprocating it or supplicating for the person." So, saying 'Thank you' is not enough. Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) in His mercy has guided us to an appropriate course of action to show gratitude. We should be genuinely grateful and if we are able to return the favor we should do so. Otherwise, or additionally, we should pray for the person who did the favor. You need no wealth to make du'a for somebody, yet it fulfills your obligation of showing gratitude to the person who does you a good turn.

About Wudu’ five times

129. Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wasallam) said, "When a Muslim or a believer washes his face (in the course of Wudu'), every sin he has committed with his eyes is washed away from his face along with water, or with the last drop of water; when he washes his hands, every sin they wrought is erased from his hands with the water, or with the last drop of water; and when he washes his feet, every sin towards which his feet walked is washed away with water, or with the last drop of water, with the result that he comes out cleansed of all sins".

[Muslim].

Commentary: This Hadith mentions the excellence of Wudu'. Obviously a person who performs Wudu' five times daily would be free from sins. Thus, Wudu' is a means of both outward and inward cleanliness.

Table Manners

Narrated Anas bin Malik (radi Allahu anhu): "Milk mixed with water was brought to Allah's Messenger (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) while a bedouin was on his right and Abu Bakr (radi Allahu anhu) was on his left. He drank (of it) and then gave (it) to the bedouin and said, 'The right. The right (first).'" [Sahih Bukhari]

Commentary: These are simple table manners that will pave our way to Jannah, insha'Allah. Table manners are first and foremost those taught to us by Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam). After that, and not in contradiction to them, other cultural norms may be followed. Muslims pass first to the right.
